The Washington, D.C. Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. was established on March 16, 1940, by Elinor McGuire, Lillian Bailey, and Lillian Perry.
To commemorate the year our chapter was established, we warmly invite all members, associates, and friends of the Washington, D.C. Chapter to participate in the 85th Anniversary Gala.
This year's beneficiaries are the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc. and The Fishing School.
The Washington, D.C. Chapter is steeped in tradition, history, and pride. Today, more than 175 mothers and 270 children make up the chapter. For 85 years, we have remained focused on promoting the aims of our founders through sound programming for children, legislative advocacy, meaningful service, generous support of local community organizations and the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc., and a robust collective spirit of the African American family.
We are laser-focused on expanding the opportunities afforded to African American children in our community and working to close the wealth, health, and educational gaps faced by far too many.
